Houston Dance Theatre is a non-profit dance company that gives pre-professional dancers the opportunity to perform in major classical ballet and comtemporary dance productions. Master teachers and choreographers bring their expertise to the studio to train and advise dancers for their futures. The annual Nutcracker Production is our most loved project. 75 dancers perform in this elaborate production from age 5-adults including Russian Guest Artists in the lead roles. Our audiences are thrilled to attend this traditional Nutcracker year after year at Westfield High School's Geiger Performing Arts Center. Houston Dance Theatre is an honor company of Regional Dance America and attends and performs at annual Festivals of performances, classes and auditions.

How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Angela Jackson dance professionally in the US and Europe. Has taught ballet for 38 years and brings the finest staff to her school to round out a a successful program.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our school productions are the best example of the talented students who train and perform at American Academy of Dance. The opportunities given the dancers of Houston Dance Theatre and our membership in Regional Dance America leads to college scholarships and careers in dance.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Our location is accessable to the many areas and school districts that our students come from.
