Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
For over 25 years. Started as a U.S. Army Staff Judge Advocate General English-Spanish Interpreter. Interpreted in over 300 Court Martials where witnesses were Spanish speakers. Traveled throughout Central and South America as Principal Interpreter between U.S. and Spanish speaking V.I.P's. In my career I have translated over 1 million pages on a myriad of topics: legal, medical, industrial, technical and many, many more!
What is your primary product or service?
English-Spanish Translations and Interpreterships
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
At an early age people kept telling me that I had a "knack" for translating from English into Spanish and Vice-versa. After joining the U.S. Army (1984) my skills with translations and Interpreterships became instrumental in my duty assignments and, after completing my degree and perfecting my translation skills, ultimately landed me as a Judiciary (Department of Defense, U.S. Army) translator and interpreter.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Two main reasons: I'm passionate about language and on how to accurately convey the letter and spirit of the intented author of a document therefore I strive to use language that EVERYONE will understand regardless of their geographical region. That is to say, with me, your translations will be fully understood whether your target audience is in Mexico, Spain or Tierra del Fuego. Also, I have kept my business small yet highly productive. Since my operating costs are extremely low my customers directly benefit with a high quality product at the lowest prices in the market!
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have 2 locations: Houston, TX and Panama City, Republic of Panama. We also assist you in opening your business in the Republic of Panama taking advantage of Panama's extremely low tax laws and tax breaks awarded to U.S. businesses who wish to open branches in this country!
Provide detailed directions to your location
I am mobile. I will go to your location at your request! Notwithstanding the majority of my current clients email their documents to be translated and we email them back in 1, 2 or 3 days, depending on the lenght of the document to be translated. (Please estimate a turn around time of 15 pages per day, edited and ready to publish)
What type of payments do you accept?
wire transfers, direct deposit, checks, money orders, credit and debit cards
Which areas do you service?
Any area in where translations are needed: from the legal arena to advertising; medical, industrial, safety, text books, novels, magazines, product manuals, etc.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Ricardo Eva, Authorized Public Interpreter licensed by the Department of Defense (U.S.A.) and by the Republic of Panama.
What are your hours of operation?
24/7/365
